After deciding to purchase a water softener, due to all the contaminates in the water and the extreme hardness, we decided to go with a Culligan water softener and a RO system in the kitchen. Abby was very informative and knowledgeable in the information she provided to us. It is a little more expensive than other products out there, but we didn't think we could go wrong with one of their systems, due to Culligan being a very reputable business, the lifetime warranty it comes with, and the extra service they provide. We just got our Culligan water softener installed two weeks ago, and like it a lot! Very worth the investment.Update:We've had our water softener for a year now. We had a bad leak about 6 months after we got it. It was on the weekend, and we didn't want to pay the huge service fee (we even had the "platinum" service included with the first year) so we turned our water off completely and got them to come out first thing on a regular working day. I'm writing to let potential future customers know, that after the first year of included service, they will want over $500 a year for continued service. So, 4 times a year to check your salt and check if your equipment is running ok. About 10 minutes worth of their time, 4 times a year, plus a change out of RO filters for the kitchen, which can be purchased for around $60 on Amazon.I don't ever recall being told the amount it would be for continued service when we purchased the system. If we had, we probably wouldn't have gotten it at all. Very disappointed, and should have shopped around.
